How a dissatisfied jobsite became "The Original Honey Dipper."

In 1985, John W. McCarty started McCarty's Portable Toilets in Weston, WV.

The owner became dissatisfied with sanitation services at a construction site. He possessed industry experience from childhood, having worked in the portable sanitation industry with his father, who had retired years earlier, and had sold his company.

McCarty conducted market research before launching operations. He developed his business around the concept that he would provide the North Central WV area with new modern units and reliable customer service. Through professional, courteous service, he has built a solid reputation for customer satisfaction.

A few years after his portable toilet company was well established, he purchased a septic tank cleaning truck to compliment his existing business. He operates this division of his company under the name of McCarty's Septic Service.
